Apple Inc. is an American multinational corporation that designs and markets consumer electronics, computer software, and personal computers. The company is best-known for its unique hardware and software. Apple Inc was the first successful personal-computer company. I believe that Apple is really involved in two businesses: the computer market and the entertainment and media market .The co-founder and chief executive officer of Apple is Steven Paul Jobs. Apple was established on April 1, 1976. As on 16 January 2011, the Company had approximately 49,400 full-time equivalent employees. There are total of 323 Apple stores worldwide and also a range of products which consist of, (Macintosh Computers, iPod, the iPhone and the iPad) And also it includes software like the (Mac OS X operating system, iTunes iLife, iWork, Aperture, Final Cut Studio, Logic Studio, iOS.)

Some of the services provided by Apple Inc. include:

“Apple Push Notification Service”-( forward notifications from the servers of third party applications to the device)

“Apple Type Services for Unicode Imaging”-(set of services for rendering Unicode-encoded text starting with Mac OS 8.5 and in Mac OS X.)

“App Store”-( service for iOS devices which allows users to browse and download applications from the iTunes Store)

“iWork.com”-(Service by Apple Inc which provides a web interface for viewing, downloading, and commenting uploaded documents.)

Apple is marketing to people who have a few characteristics.

1) Middle/Upper income folks who are willing to pay for a better user experience.

2) People who like to have fun with technology. This includes people who like to shoot a lot of digital photos or video. It’s the whole digital hub concept. People are starting to buy into it.

3) Music enthusiasts and fans ages 12-35.

4) Professionals in media and design.

In my opinion, Apple is targeting mostly Students and Educators. The reason is that Apple provides everything you need to deliver on the promise of digital teaching and learning. Reasons why Students and Educators should use Apple, (Its OS is Stable and Secure, it has the latest Intel processor, making it fast and efficient, Apple has the technical support in the business, Apple offers hands-on technical training to help you and your staff plan for, integrate, and maintain Apple technology, Only Apple offers a complete environment for learning as the application/software/hardware system is designed to work together seamlessly.)
